The Sustainable Uttoxeter Energy forum is developing and delivery local strategy for the use of clean, green energy to help achieve the net zero targets.
The forum is looking at how energy can be used locally, providing cost savings, environmental impact improvements, alleviating fuel poverty and encouraging smarter energy use. We hope to launch our own community energy cooperative by the end of 2022 and develop a network of community energy champions.
We have five focus areas, these are referred to as our “Impact Areas” and they are:
- Encourage the use of green energy
- Deliver a local energy solution
- Support energy efficiency measures & retrofitting
- Deliver an energy advice network
- Help to alleviate fuel poverty and increase proactive climate adaption.
